Wind Resistance Device

A wind-resistant device composed of connecting parts and partially weakened metal columns. It is used when the rubber isolation bearings in earthquake-isolated buildings cannot meet the wind resistance requirements. In the case of moderate or large earthquakes, the failure of the device will not affect the overall seismic resistance of the earthquake-isolated building.

Application of Wind Resistance Device

In earthquake-isolated buildings with relatively high basic wind pressure.

A wind resistance device for roof structures is designed to protect buildings from the effects of strong winds by enhancing roof stability. It prevents roof uplift, deformation, and damage during storms or high-wind events. These devices are made from durable materials such as steel or reinforced alloys and can be integrated into the roof frame or installed externally. By distributing wind forces evenly, they improve structural integrity, extend the building's lifespan, and ensure occupant safety. Components may include anchors, tie-downs, or braces, depending on roof type and local wind conditions. Proper installation and maintenance are essential for long-term performance.

Structural damper is a critical component used in engineering and construction to reduce vibrations and absorb energy in buildings, bridges, and other structures. It is designed to improve stability and safety by minimizing the impact of dynamic forces such as wind, earthquakes, and mechanical vibrations. Structural dampers work by dissipating kinetic energy, converting it into heat or other forms of energy, thereby reducing the amplitude of structural movement. Common types include viscous dampers, friction dampers, tuned mass dampers, and metallic yielding dampers, each suitable for different applications and performance requirements. These devices are widely installed in high-rise buildings, long-span bridges, industrial facilities, and seismic-resistant structures. By controlling structural motion, dampers help prevent damage, enhance comfort for occupants, and extend the lifespan of the structure. Modern structural dampers are designed with advanced materials and precise engineering to ensure durability, reliability, and consistent performance under varying conditions. Easy integration with existing structures and low maintenance requirements make them an effective solution for both new construction and retrofitting projects.
